Paper rolling is a method of distressing the edges of your papers. i find this method a little easier to control than using an edge distresser and less likely to rip the paper, another issue I have encountered with edge distressers (maybe I am edge distresser challenged Very Happy Very Happy). I also find this method is successful on thin papers as well as the heavier weight papers.

1. Create the base of the layout. When adhering the papers to be rolled, apply the adhesive away from the edge.

2. Using an aqua brush or paint brush, liberally dampen the edges of the paper to be rolled. Allow to sit momentarily so as the water is absorbed by the paper.

3. Using your finger gently roll the edges of the paper. You may need to run your fingernail along the edge of the paper to lift it up. The degree of rolling is personal, a rougher rolling action will result in a deeper rolled edge and more likelihood of ripping. When happy with the effect, leave page to dry ~ this will only take a few minutes.

4. After the edge is dry it can be inked. Inking when wet, can result in the ink running, which can create some lovely effects but is uncontrollable.

5. The final result after rolling and inking.

6. Add photos and embellishments.
