Embossed Chipboard Shapes25 viewsI layered these plain chipboard shapes with fine silver embossing powder and stamped with some celtic stamps. The one on the left was a very detailed stamp, and looks better in person than in this picture. I put embossing powder on the edges too. GoldenJoules

Faux-metal chipboard Letters26 viewsFor these letters, I used 3-6 several layers of fine silver embossing powder, then I applied a stamp and removed the stamp when cool. The JVK are in 1 pattern, the LOVE in another. They have great texture, which I'm not sure you can see well in the picture. GoldenJoules

Embossed Chipboard Colored Letters28 viewsHere I did the technique of applying 3-6 layers of embossing powder until the chipboard letters looked enameled. I started with Christmas patterned chipboard (wwhite with little holly patterns). On the 'A' I used a black marker on the top & edges before layering red embossing powder. For the 'D' I used the same red powder but without coloring the letter first. The 'Q' is rough as I used Ranger Peeled paint distress, which did not work well. The G is verdigris green, and 'HB' are in blue denim.GoldenJoules

Sprung!31 viewsDidn't take too many traditional Christmassy type pics last year, but this one is one of my fav's (I've cropped it as it had an unflattering shot of my friend in it!!! We were dishing out dessert on Christmas Day and hubby caught us out taking one too many samples.
My handmade embellishments are the flowers - I tried out 2 new techniques and like them both, couldn't decide which one to use, so I added them both!
Paper is BoBunny and Heidi Grace (from an old Better Homes and Gardens mag), American Crafts Thickers chipboard letters, Green Tara and Kaisercraft flowers, brads, chipboard tree and stars (that I Kindy Glitzed the living daylights out of!), crepe paper frill, BoBunny journalling card.

I used the packaging from some BG chipboard shapes (Boxer I think) as a mask, used 2 colours of green Glimmermist to spray (made a bit of a mess but that added to the effect lol!), I then coloured around the edges with KindyGlitz for emphasis.
Used all sorts of bits and pieces on this - Sassafrass Lass and BG papers, LYB transparency, MME title block, Maya Road sheer flowers, buttons, lace.
